Account Administrators can set specific password security requirements and configure single sign-on (SSO) for their organization in the Settings page. The Virtualitics platform supports single sign-on (SSO) to integrate with your enterprise systems. Virtualitics currently supports SAML 2.0-based SSO methods that provide IDP XML, like Okta.
To access this page, log in to the Virtualitics Account Portal with an Administrator account. Then, click the Settings icon.
Setting Password Security
Within the Settings screen, there are multiple options for password security, including:
- Password Length - Set the minimum length of characters required for a user password
- Password Complexity - Select the complexity options for the password
- Password History - Enforce the number of times a different password must be used from previous passwords.
- Password Expiration - Password will expire after the defined number of days
- Account Lockout - Accounts will be locked for 15 minutes after a user unsuccessfully tries 5 password attempts in 15 minutes
Configuring Single Sign-On (SSO):

Once logged in to the Virtualitics Account Portal with an Administrator account, navigate to the Settings screen.
-
Follow the instructions from your identity provider (IDP) about how to create an app.

For example, you can follow Okta's page to create an app.

The IDP will ask for a Single-Sign On URL. This is sometimes known as the ‘SSO URL’, ‘ACS URL’, or ‘SP URL’.
-
-
Once you have added the app in your IDP, they will provide you with SSO IDP Config XML.
-
Click Edit SSO Config to open a diablog box with an editable field.
-
Copy and paste the SSO IDP Config XML into the SSO IDP Config XML field in the dialog box.
-
An example SSO IDP Config XML can be found here.
