What Is It?
The Search tool allows users to find specific words or phrases in their features.
Why Is This Important?
This is very useful for quickly identifying data points of interest. For example, you may want to flag all clinical trials that included a specific treatment, or find the shipments that were all delayed by exactly 2 days. After obtaining these search results, the newly created Search Result feature can be used for further analysis or filtering.
How?
Steps for running the Search tool:
- First make sure that you have already created the plot you would like to use to view your search results.
- Type a word, phrase or number you would like to find.
- Select whether you want to find an exact match or return any points that contain the phrase you entered.
- Drag and drop one or more features into the Add Features area. These will be the features whose values will be searched for your word, phrase or number.
- Click the Run button to run your Search.
- You will have created a new Search Result that can be used in the Mapping panel or any of the AI routines, as well as dragged into the Features panel to save that Search Result as a new column in your dataset.
- Clicking Apply will automatically map your Search Result to the Pulsation dimension.
