Pathfinder's Find Key Drivers feature allows you to find out which columns in your data have the biggest impact on one of your KPIs.
To Find Key Drivers:
- On the Pathfinder start screen, click Find Key Drivers.
- Choose a Column of Interest. A column of interest should represent any column that you would like to learn more about.
To add a Column of Interest, click Select a Column. In the drop-down that appears, choose from either Suggested Columns, or select a column from the All Columns list. For datasets with a large number of columns, you can Search for a column in the text box above the list. Click a column to select it. - Click Find Key Drivers.
Pathfinder will populate with insights about Key Drivers and Regions of Interest, which are automatically generated leveraging the Smart Mapping and Insights AI routines. A plot will also be automatically created to visualize these results.
Results
Key Drivers
Key Drivers shows the degree to which other columns in the data have impacted your selected Column of Interest. These drivers are automatically sorted by Most Impactful, and the level of impact is shown as a bar chart under each column name. You can change the sorting to see the Least Impactful by clicking the dropdown under Sort By and selecting that option.
Regions of Interest
Regions of Interest highlight regions of the generated plot that show statistically significant distributions of points based on their color. Donut charts are used to highlight the breakdown of points within each region of interest. You can filter down to specific color bins from the generated plot by clicking the Filter By dropdown.
