The Region Selection tool enables you to zoom into a specified area on a 3D Globe or 2D Map plot.

Using Region Selection allows you to observe interesting areas in your data and then quickly change your view to get a closer look at those specific areas.

Using Region Selection

1. Ensure you are using the 2D Map or 3D Globe plot type.
2. In the Mapping Panel, open the Menu ( ) and click Plot Settings.
3. Click the Select button.
4. Click and drag on the map to highlight the area on which you like to zoom in.
5. Click Apply.

The plot will then zoom into the selected region, bringing you from a 3D Globe to a 2D Map or a more zoomed in 2D Map from a previous 2D Map.
