Image and GIF Capture enables you to capture images and GIFs within the Virtualitics Explore Desktop application so that static or dynamic visualizations and procedures can be shared outside of the application.

If you are interested in including content from Virtualitics Explore Desktop in formal reports or publications, the Image and GIF Capture tool is an easy and flexible way to grab the relevant content and add it to those documents.

Using Image and GIF Capture

1. Click the Camera icon ( ) in the top toolbar.
2. Select from one of the following three options:
   • Image Capture - Click the Capture button to capture the image inside the red border area and save it.
   • GIF Capture - Click the Record button to start capturing the GIF inside of the red border area. Save it when ready by clicking the Stop button.
     

     Tip: Click and drag the red border to change the capture area. Click the Maximize button at the top of the Image Capture window to capture the full application. While maximized, click the Restore Down button to resize the capture area into a smaller window.

3. Choose a local location to save the newly created file.

Capture Settings

Click the Gear icon ( )on the top right of the Capture window to open Capture settings:

• Export Settings: Choose the save location and quality of the exported Capture file.
• GIF Capture Settings: Choose the framerate and duration of the exported GIF. You can also choose whether to show or hide the cursor.
• Reset Settings: Reset all Capture settings to default.
