Statistics enables you to review key metrics about single variables while exploring and investigating data. This is important for getting a better contextual understanding of the data you are analyzing.

The Statistics panel provides the following useful statistics:

• Min
• Max
• Median (Med)
• Average/Mean (Avg)
• Standard deviation
• Sum

Using Statistics

1. Click the Statistics icon ( ) in the top toolbar to open the Statistics Panel.
2. Click and drag a feature from the Features Panel to the input box.
3. Click the breakdown card to open detailed statistics and information.

A histogram will be generated with additional details depending on the data type of the feature:

• Numerical: Min, max, median, average, standard deviation and sum
• Categorical: A count of each unique value
• Date: Min, max, and a count of binned date ranges

Note: When the selected target is mapped to Color on an active plot, you will see the statistical breakdown for each Color.
