History and Favorites shows you a running audit of your project files and allows you to bookmark specific entries.
History is useful for looking back through the analysis you have done so that you can quickly review a previous plot you created.
Once you have completed your analysis and you would like to save and share your project file, you can Favorite your key visualizations so that either you or other users can quickly follow the data story that you created previously. This is a powerful tool for sharing and communicating your results to stakeholders.
Using History and Favorites
After you have created one or more plots:
- Click the History and Favorites icon ( ) in the top toolbar to open the History and Favorites Panel.
- In the All tab, locate all entries for each plot update that you have made so far.
- Click on an entry to view the corresponding plot without having to recreate it manually.
- Click the star next to an entry to add it to Favorites, which is a useful capability for presenting or sharing your analysis.
- Locate Favorites by clicking on the "Favorites" tab.
The History playback controls at the bottom of the panel allow you to automatically cycle through your entries, which is helpful for showing your different plots and insights while you talk through them or record them in a video.
