Mapping View is Virtualitics Explore's graphing canvas that allows you to explore multiple dimensions of your data on a variety of visualizations using out-of-the-box AI routines that accelerate speed to insight.
Once you've loaded your data into Virtualitics Explore and you've examined your data in Spreadsheet View, you'll be greeted with Mapping View.
Default View
The default view in Mapping View is a blank canvas, ready for you to set up parameters to review your data or run Virtualitics Explore's no-code AI routines.
There are three key user elements in Mapping View:
Toolbars |
|
Panels | Panels are your primary way of interacting with parameters in Mapping View. Clicking on an icon for most tools will open a Panel with additional parameters and functions within. |
Plot | The plot is where you'll see your data visualized. It can be manipulated in 3D so you can see every facet of your data. |
Upon opening Mapping View for the first time in a project, you'll see these elements with two panels already opened: the Mapping Panel and the Legend Panel.
Mapping Panel
The Mapping Panel allows you to choose a Plot Type and set specific parameters for how you would like your data to be visualized on the plot.

Legend Panel
The Legend Panel will populate once your plot is created. Depending on the parameters you've set up, you'll be able to see data broken down into key categories, and if you are using Color, Shape, or Group By, see what data is represented by which color, shape, or group.

Additionally, you can Isolate specific categories of data on your plot.
To Isolate a category in the Legend Panel:
- Click on the Icon or the Category in the Legend Panel for the category you want to isolate. This will show only this category. Click again on the same category to re-show all.
- Once you've isolated a category, you can click on another category to re-add it to your view.
