Projects (saved as a .vip file), allow you to save all the visualizations you created during a session with your currently loaded datasets. You can then load your project at a later time to pick up where you left off, or you can send the project file to a colleague to share your work.
Saving a Project
To save a .vip project file in Virtualitics Explore:
- On the right side of the top navigation bar, click the Save button.
- Choose a name for your project.
- Click Save. The button will update to Saved.

- Click the Main Menu.
- Click Save Project.
- Choose a name for your project.
- Click Save.
Project Autosaving
Virtualitics Explore includes a built-in autosave feature to help ensure you don't lose valuable work.
Autosave will activate when a connection issue is detected between your browser and the Virtualitics Explore server.
Autosave will save your work in the background, and if Virtualitics Explore needs to be re-opened, you will be prompted to open the autosaved project. This autosaved project will also be available to open from the My Files section.
Downloading a Project
To download a .vip project file from Virtualitics Explore:
- Click the Main Menu.
- Click Download Project.
- Choose a name for your project.
- Click Download.
The .vip project file will download to your local system.
Loading a Project
To load a .vip project file in Virtualitics Explore:
- On the Virtualitics Explore Home Screen, click the Add Data button.
- Choose the .vip project file to load.
If you are already working on a project in Virtualitics Explore and would like to load a different project:
- Click the Main Menu.
- Click Load Project.
- Choose the .vip project file to load.
