Violin Plots are useful for visualizing categorical features and numerical features simultaneously. When multiple points occupy the same space, a Violin Plot spreads them out, so you can select individual points and get a better sense for the distribution of the points.
Required Features and Dimensions
Violin Plots require at least two of the positional dimensions mapped. Violin Plots are useful for visualizing mixtures of categorical and numerical features on the spatial dimensions. For visualizing only categorical features, we recommend the Histogram plot type and for visualizing only numerical features, we recommend a Scatter Plot .
